After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting in 1993 from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, CR joined the firm of McGladrey & Pullen, CPA’s. In 1995, CR sat for and passed the CPA exam. In 1997, CR joined the accounting firm of Owen E. McCafferty, CPA’s; a firm that specializes in veterinary consultation, valuation, tax and accounting.
Throughout her career, CR has continued to be involved in the field of veterinary practice management. In 2004, CR worked with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) as a practice consultant, evaluating veterinary practices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Kay started working at CEDARCREST as a Client Service Associate in Oct. 1998. She is now our dedicated and hardworking Administrative Assistant. She has two chihuahua's named Bonita & Jayla and a chinchilla named Sydney.
Amanda started working at CEDARCREST as a part-time Care Provider while finishing her degree in Astronomy/Physics (yes, she’s a nerd) at the University of Virginia. Two years and one gigantic framed diploma later (seriously, it’s massive) Amanda became the full-time Care Provider Supervisor. Now, she is our Web Coordinator. She has three dogs, a cat, three horses and a miniature donkey. She also lives with three chinchillas who spend their evenings cackling while devising maniacal plots to take over the world (or at least the upstairs bathroom). When not working computer magic at CEDARCREST, Amanda spends her time on various planes, trains and boats in order to travel the world and take pretty pictures.
